The Alan is phenomenal...make no mistake! This is my second stay at The Alan, and I will always come back. Admittedly, I got an upgrade this time from Booking.com to a Signature Room, but never the less, I highly recommend a stay here. Firstly, the location is perfect. Right across from China Town, a walk from the trams/buses and train station. All you need to access other parts of the city and a walk from the abundance of The Northen Quarter. The Alan is grand, bountiful, and contemporary in design. A very chić entrance with a Café and restaurant, also a very nice seating area. The Signature Rooms are huge, with double windows so you can open the window on the outside and filter it with the second window. *I like the cold so perfect. With separate heating and air-conditioning to each room, too! Perfect for a cosy night in. The bed is deep, firm & absolutely huge, I'm 5ft the width of this bed is longer than me *laughs. I literally slept and couldn't reach either end, and it was perfect. There are some seriously heavy and good *to floor black out curtains that will aide your sleep into a slumber. It was a great sleep! A huge TV is perfect for a midnight film binge, you cab connect your phone to your own streaming apps, too. Coffee, tea, water, and plenty of great quality toiletries in the bathroom. Also, the beautiful bathroom design is sleek, minimalistic, but also soft, feminine, and a decent size. Also, a fridge - this needs to be highlighted as an extra because I'm the person who'll buy food to eat in room and bottled water. It has a small freezer in it. Perfect for your favourite ice cream. Beautiful flowing voil that let's in the morning glow from the city. I could live in this room and be happy. I'm currently in recovery from an awful domestic abuse case, and I'm disabled with very bad anxiety. The staff here are very mindful, discreet, and welcoming.

Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by Harmony, whose friendliness and helpfulness stood out. She even provided us with a complimentary room upgrade, which was a delightful surprise. The room itself was beautiful and impeccably clean. Harmony took the time to explain all the facilities in great detail, ensuring we felt comfortable and well-informed. The hotel's location is excellent, with a tram stop just around the corner and the train station only a 15-minute walk away. The city is beautiful, and our stay at this hotel made our visit even more enjoyable. We would definitely choose to stay here again!

The location is excellent, within walking distance to the train station (Manchester Piccadilly) and good restaurants. Despite being close to a busy road, you do not notice this at all from within the building. The room was quiet, a good size and with all amenities you would expect (tea, coffee, biscuits). The breakfast was good, which included a continental buffet and cooked options to order. Staff were all very friendly and welcoming throughout the stay. The hotel overall had a good atmosphere. I would definitely stay again.

Clean, quiet and welcoming hotel located just 3 minutes walk from the tram stop at St Peter's Square or around 10 minutes walk from Piccadilly. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was well appointed with almost everything you could need including fridge, good quality tea and coffee and great toiletries. The bed was extremely comfortable with good quality bedding. The heating/air conditioning was very effective and easy to use. Extremely reasonably priced - I would definitely stay here again.

Likes - Very friendly staff, comfortable and large room. Bath and shower, breakfast included. Dislikes - room quite dated, aircon did not blow out cool air so the room was too hot especially when trying to sleep. No usb ports and we’d not brought a plug but we used the tv to charge phones. Restaurant menu expensive and not much choice and we wanted to eat there for convenience before a gig but we ended up eating elsewhere. Breakfast was great with a choice of buffet and menu options.
